Northbeam exists because too many AI programs produce slides, pilots, and a second round of the same RFP. We are a founder-led applied AI practice: India-based, production-grade, then we leave.
Why we started this
The market is full of firms that sell the feeling of being modern: a chatbot, a lab, a transformation office. Operators still sort inboxes. Forecasts are still empty. Models still die when the consultant’s slide expires.
We started Northbeam to do the unfashionable middle: write the job down, pick one bet, build the system, put a human on the expensive mistakes, and hand the keys to someone with a real title. Mid-market Indian companies do not need a lab tour. They need production AI systems, priced in rupees, and aligned with the DPDP Act when the data is personal.
The name is the point. A north beam is a reference, not a light show. We are here to help you point at one thing and move.
How we work

Production or it did not happen
A demo is a liability. We measure ourselves on a system an on-call engineer can explain, pause, and change the week after we leave.
Judgment stays with your people
We automate sorting, drafting, routing, hygiene. We do not sell the replacement of a licensed or accountable human. Autonomy is earned by a measured error rate.
Finite on purpose
We are not trying to nest on your org chart. A good engagement has a last week, a named owner, and a list of changes your team can make alone.
Who is in the room
Northbeam is founder-led. You work directly with the person doing the work — no account manager, no bench of juniors learning on your dime. As engagements need more hands, we bring in specialists; we don’t add layers between you and the work.
We take on a small number of engagements at a time, by design. If we’re not the right fit for your timeline, we’ll tell you before you spend anything.
The founder sits in the interviews, writes the eval set, and is in the room for the handoff. Specialists join when a system needs more hands—not as a briefing layer. You will not be managed by someone who has never sat next to the operator.
